Acupuncture, an ancient Chinese healing technique, has gained popularity in recent years as a holistic approach to beauty and cosmetic enhancement. This comprehensive review aims to explore the effectiveness, mechanisms, and potential benefits of acupuncture in promoting skin health, reducing the signs of aging, and improving overall beauty.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion, a method of preventing and treating diseases by using metal needles to puncture certain acupuncture points on the human body and adjusting the circulation of qi and blood through manual techniques, and by using moxa made from mugwort to warm and stimulate the skin surface of acupuncture points, achieving the goal of regulating the meridians and harmonizing qi and blood.

Acupuncture as a treatment for infertility shows great results both in man and women. Acupuncture can be considered as successful treatment in restoring fertility in the patients, by improving the sperm quality and ovaries function and balancing the endocrine system and hormones.

VMS frequency declined by 36.7% at 6 months in the acupuncture group and increased by 6.0% in the control group (p<0.001 for between-group comparison). At 12 months, the reduction from baseline in the acupuncture group was 29.4% (p<0.001 for within-group comparison from baseline to 12 months), suggesting that the reduction was largely maintained post treatment. Statistically significant clinical improvement was observed after 3 acupuncture treatments and maximum clinical effects occurred after a median of 8 treatments. Persistent improvements were seen in many quality of life-related outcomes in the acupuncture group relative to the control group.
